Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Game and Statistics Data

When you use the App to track football games, we collect:

• Player roster information (jersey numbers required; names, positions, grade, height, weight optional)
• Game statistics including play-by-play data, scores, clock information, penalties, and notes
• Scheduled game information (opponents, dates, locations)

Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App usage patterns and feature interactions
• Error logs and crash reports (anonymized)

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionality

Advertising and Tracking Technologies

Our website may use tracking technologies from third-party advertising platforms to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show you relevant ads on other platforms. These may include:

Note: The SnapStat mobile app does NOT use advertising tracking technologies. This section applies only to our marketing website.

Data Storage and Security

Cloud Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider (AWS-backed). Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL, encrypted at rest, stored in secure data centers, and protected by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data.

Offline Storage

For offline functionality, data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. This enables full app functionality without internet connection, automatic sync when connectivity is restored via PowerSync, and zero data loss protection.

Data Retention

• Active Subscriptions: Data is retained while your subscription is active
• After Subscription Lapse: Data is retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted
• After Account Deletion: Data is permanently removed within 30 days
• You may export your data at any time before deletion in CSV or PDF formats

Data Sharing

Player Portal

SnapStat provides token-based parent portals for accessing player statistics. Parents can view their child's statistics via a permanent URL without needing an account. Coaches control portal access and can regenerate tokens at any time.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Cloud infrastructure, database, and authentication
• PowerSync: Offline-first data synchronization
• Apple: App Store and in-app purchase processing

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

SnapStat is designed for use by coaches, parents, volunteers, and students (13+). We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• Users between 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent
• Player names are optional (only jersey numbers are required)
• No photos or videos are collected
• Player data is entered by coaches/adults, not directly by children

FERPA Disclaimer

SnapStat is a voluntary tool for tracking football statistics. Data entered into SnapStat is not an official school record and is not maintained by the educational institution. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with their school district's policies regarding student data. SnapStat is not subject to FERPA as we are not an educational institution and do not maintain official educational records.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correct: Update or correct inaccurate data
• Delete: Delete your account and data at any time through App settings
• Export: Export your data in CSV or PDF formats
• Withdraw Consent: Stop using the App at any time

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights:

• Right to know what personal information is collected
• Right to delete personal information
• Right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we do not sell data)

International Data Transfers

If you access the App from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App, updating the "Last Updated" date, and sending an email notification for significant changes.
